University of Utah's Freeride Ski Program

The Freeride Team facilitates a competition club team for students at the University of Utah interested in freeride skiing and snowboarding. By pooling resources and knowledge, the freeride program is able to cultivate community and culture and help remove financial barriers, getting people excited about the sport.

The team represents the University of Utah at Freeride World Qualifier events throughout the winter season and strives to encourage improvement and progression in skiing and snowboarding.

In 2019, the Freeride Team was founded by a group of big mountain athletes passionate about skiing. Their goal was to create an organization that granted opportunities for athletes to come together to ski and compete. The program is fully student-run and is non-profit.
